With the financial supports by DANIDA-CIEM Project, the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) hold the training course o­n GAMS at CIEM o­n 11-15 June 2007.

Participants at the training course consist of representatives from some institutes, namely Trade Institute (MoT), Development Strategic Institute (MPI), World Economic and Political Institute, Vietnam Economic Institute, National Center for Socio-Economic Information and Forecast (MPI), Center for Informatics and Statistics (MARD); representatives from some universities in Hanoi, i.e. National Economic University, Vietnam Commercial University … and researchers of CIEM. The lecturer at the training course is Mr. Hoang Van Thanh – Deputy Director of Macro-Economic Department (CIEM). He is a senior expert o­n econometric models. The course focused o­n basic knowledge of GAMS, forming and solving linear and non-linear programming problems, solving models of general equilibrium.
